Welcome members and friends of DIABLOTIN MAGAZINE.

We are Albert and Tempie Williams, a husband and wife team and we are delighted to be a part of this exciting community here on openzine.com. We discovered the site quite by accident, and what a discovery we have made. So for this reason, we thought that a special introduction and marketing effort was in order to introduce ourselves and vision to a new circle of friends (subscribers), while adding yet another media product to our marketing strategy to discover, nurture and promote the country, people and culture of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Albert and Tempie are both published authors, musicians and internet entrepreneurs. To simply type ALBERT AND TEMPIE in your favorite internet browser will cough up within 0.56 seconds at least ten to 15 pages of mentions of our extensive web presence where we promote our books, songs, photographs, videos etc. Sites such as Youtube and myspace and facebook are perhaps the ones well known to all web surfers. However, for a list of the mp3 hosting sites of which we subscribe, go to: DIABLOTIN MUSIC Later, we will go more in depth in promoting our books, but it is our association with NING, and their create your own social network idea,and with MOGULUS and thier launch your own television channel that really got us to thinking that we could really make a change here with such wonderful opportunities. Openzine, falls in to this very same category, of splendid online platforms that can be used for the good of mankind to communicate wholesome ideas about the world we live in, and thus create understanding bout the world and each other. Wow...I'm really getting a head of myself.

Anyway, To zero in on the theme of this week's issue of DIABLOTIN MAGAZINE, we have combined platforms of Ning, Mogulus, Constant Contact and Openzine to create our DIABLOTIN family of online tools including : Visit DIABLOTIN MUSIC DIABLOTIN MUSIC and DIABLOTIN TELEVISION We also produce a weekly podcast, that is aired as Daiblotin Radio on on our http://musicofdominica.ning.com home page, as well as circulate a weekly news letter: DIABLOTIN NEWS to our members and friends every sunday. We are young in the internet entreperneurial business, and would like to get ahead, with bigger and better projects in the months and years to come. But for now, we invite you to visit and oin our ites mentioned above. Whether you are born and bred Dominican, living overseas, or interested in learning nore of the culture and opportunites to expand your business there. Our products are a good place to start.

Create Your OpenZineOur media products are named after the tallest mountain in the Commonwealth Dominica: Morne Diablotin which was named so by ealy French settlers because it was the breeding place of the now almost extinct bird speciaes of The Black-capped Petrel (Pterodroma hasitata) a small seabird in the gadfly petrel genus, Pterodroma. also known as the Diablotín. The noctunal bird was named by locals as Diablotín which by literal translation means "little devil", "because of its night-time habits and the odd-sounding mating calls, which may have suggested to locals the presence of evil spirits in the dark." Therefore, our products mimic that legendary bird, and its habitat, the mountain in many ways. Our aim is to become a a mountain of strength in cyber space; to become a leader in internt technology as it aplies to the promotion of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
