Lady's Night at Stardom King of the Tent 2009
The show may be called Stardom King of the Tent, but Tarina Simon showed the guys that "the woman is boss"..Lol, as she walked away with the Stardom King (Queen) of the Tent title. The competition was not a clean sweep though, as other top performers like the Karessah, Observer, Scrunter, and new comer to Stardom Tent, Sye, came out swinging.
This is Tarina's second win for the season, as she was also recently named Woman Calypso Queen for 2009. Her eyes are now firmly fixed on the coveted, esteemed title of Calypso Monarch of 2009. In recent memory I cannot remember a female Calypso Monarch here in Dominica, so the anticipation and suspense is palpable. Will the former Digicel Rising Star winner sweep the entire calypso season, or do the men have what it takes to ensure that the title remains Calypso "king" Monarch!
The other top place winners included Hunter (3rd runner up), Karessah (2nd runner up) and Observer (1st runner up)
The excitement of the Calypso 2009 season will climax at the highly anticipated Calypso Finals Show on Saturday February 21st at the Pottersville Savannah. I'll be there, camcorder in hand, will you?
