That is certainly going to be the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!! Carnival 2009 is missing it's core. Don't mean to bash the other calypsonians, but the calypso shows seem to be a bit un-balanced this.

With the Dice and Daddy Chess out, they way seems paved for others like Tarina, Srcunter and Karessa to prove themselves!

Chester made us proud, i always knew that he could do it. Take a page from that Hunter!! I'll never forget that night in the park when Chester made his debut with swinging stars...never knew such a quiet guy could 'wine' like that! Chester baby, you did great...as i said i knew you could do it. Hats off to Clint and the other DA competitors.

Heres hoping that D/cans turn out in numbers to see DA's greatest calypsonian in concert! Jah know, i'm gonna miss this...depending on you Simone to make it up to me. Congratulations on a job well done!

Is there any video on the semi finals yet? I definitely believe that it was a greater show (the judging was disastrous), than the finals will ever be...my opinion

Of all the other artists who performed that night, 'hunter should take a page from that!!'? Some one doesn't know that Hunter is a four-time soca monarch, three-time calypso monarch among others and continues to make Dominica proud?
No disrespect intended here, but just perhaps you are not aware of Hunter's contribution to the art form in Dominica and overseas. That little sentence in that post wasn't really called for in my humble opinion.
Congrats to Daddy Chess on winning back to back. That was a fantastic performance!!! That show was a great one.. All the artists came out well pumped and ready to go!

Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for the support. Doesn't look like Islander (who has been incredible with getting video footage), got semi-finals. I am packing my bags right now to head down, so let everyone know to expect the highlights of Queen Show, Calypso Finals, Jump up etc.

This is our website though so please be sure to post any videos, pics or anything that shows how you "Celebrate Dominica". The idea is to show all that is positive and beautiful about our homeland.
